ABOUT
RESTAURANT
Located just next door, the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Consolation has stood for over 350 years, once offering refuge to the Augustinian monks—followers of St. Augustine, who had found no place to settle in Lithuania or neighboring regions.
Bound not only by their religious beliefs but also by ideals of earthly life, the Augustinians cherished community, simplicity, and the act of sharing. The food they cultivated themselves was shared among the brethren and extended generously to the poor and to guests alike. We continue to nurture this legacy honoring a kitchen rooted in the rhythm of the seasons and the culture of sharing. Seasonal vegetables take center stage in our dishes, reflecting both our respect for nature’s cycle and the spirit of hospitality.
